Empire and Imperialism: Suggested Reading

The best single overview of the Marxist debate on empire and imperialism is Alex Anievis ed. (2010) Marxism and World Politics (London: Routledge). Alex Callinicos’s (2009) Imperialism and Global Political Economy (Cambridge: Polity) contains both an important contribution to this debate and a stimulating survey of the debate. It is advised that you buy and read at least one of these books.
