Case Comparison



An example is attached so you can follow the format to the letter
Case Comparison/PAPER GUIDELINES 



  1. This paper is to have an introduction, body and conclusion.
  2. References and citations are to be in APA format if you use them in the paper.
  3. Paper is to be 2-3 pages in length of text material.
  4. Proper grammar and spelling are required.
  5. If you have questions, email the instructor directly.
  6. DO NOT use Wikipedia as a source of informationUse the TU Library for sources.
  7. When you save your paper to submit, please save it (and submit to me) in this format: last name, middle initial, final, CJ22241. Save as this: BushTFinalCJ2241. This will assist in saving your paper and giving a proper grade.
            The paper will be one where you compare TWO significant cases related to criminal  procedures.  These cases will come from your research of constitutional issues noted  below.
Do a case summary of the following cases:



1. McCleskey v. Zant, 499 U.S. 467

2. Morrissey v. Brewer, 408 U.S. 471
**** Add an additional part to the case outline as this extra credit is valued at 3 points....what was the (a) precedent of the case? (b) What was "wrong with the precedent" or what made the court change its mind? Court reasoning for the change?
