BEST TIP
FOR LOCAL TRAVEL
Travelling is an
enjoyable experience because of the new things a traveler is likely to meet. Like
all good things, travelling must be organized so as not to turn into
anticlimax.
A traveler
should first check his finances. Since it is time to enjoy oneself, there are
people who ensure that things run smoothly, and they are paid from your pocket.
Most Kenyan roads are mud roads, especially
the ones going into game parks and game reserves where you might want to visit.
If your travelling coincides with rainy season, you might just be spending your
days stuck in the mud instead of enjoying the panoramic view of the Great Rift
Valley, the magical beauty of the zebra, the graceful moves of the cheetah, or
the nobility of king lion.
A traveler would
be in better hands if they take travel insurance. In any new undertaking, a
person should expect the worst, so that if things turn out so, they wouldn’t be
shocked. This is where insurance comes in.
It is good for
one to take the greatest caution so that their property and themselves do not
land in the hands of criminals.
Memorable times
are kept in a good camera, but ask for permission before taking people’s
photographs and of places that are restricted.
As a call of
courtesy, learn even a smattering of the locals’ languages. If you greet people
in their dialect, it shows friendliness and endears them to you. Give gifts to
the less fortunate you meet in your expedition.
